We shall aspire to be an excellent and relevant LCC — Dr. Abiera on new role as LCC’s president
Lipa City, April 11, 2024- Lipa City Colleges hailed the pledge of renewal and reinvention to educational excellence and social responsibility of its 5th College President, Dr. Joe Vincent J. Abiera during his formal installation held at Cultural Center of Lipa.

Dubbed as “LCC’s Main Man”, Dr. Abiera extracted his words of institutional innovation and underscored social transformation in his administration during his inaugural address at his Presidential Investiture.

Stakeholders of the institution, including partner schools, such as University of Batangas, De La Salle Lipa, National University-Lipa, Academia de Lipa, and The Mabini Academy, represented by their respective presidents and school officials, officials from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA, Inc.), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Education (DepEd), APPEAL representatives, and industry partners, together with the honorable guests, including the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region IV-A Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Director IV, Dr. Freddie Bulauan and Lipa City Mayor Eric B. Africa, as well as the Management Committee of Lipa City Colleges, family, friends, and colleagues, together with the entire academic community of the institution, witnessed the passing of leadership from outgoing President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Glecy B. Mojares to Dr. Abiera.

In his 27-year journey in the institution, several development and programs that he spearheaded as the Vice President for Administration and Corporate Affairs were highlighted as his administration moves forward to his forthcoming six-point agenda, which cater social transformation, educational excellence and opportunities, and community engagement.

The symbolic passing of mace, placement of presidential color and symbol, and handling of presidential medal that signalled the transition of the presidential power and responsibilities of the institution was led by Dr. Bulauan and former President Ms. Mojares.

Meanwhile, Mayor Africa administered the oath of the new president as the Board of Trustees, who are as follows: Ms. Glecy B. Mojares (Chairman) and members, Dr. Joe Vincent J. Abiera, Dr. Marjorie M. Abiera, Mr. Patrick D. Mendoza, and Ms. Beverly M. Mendoza, together with the honorable guests of the investiture who have affixed their signatures to seal the ceremony.

“The LCC community remains passionate, proud, hopeful, pragmatic and intensely focused in our mission. We are, at the core, a collection of individuals sharing a common bond and journey,” shared Dr. Abiera as he looks forward to instilling a deep sense of social responsibility through working with one another as he envisions a better Lipa City Colleges and LCC Silvercrest School during his term.
