Preschool and Grade School (Nursery to Grade 6)

We see children as the most amazing people: full of life and potential! At Southgate, we teach kids with a mindset that they will be the hope of our future.

Preschool and Grade School education at Southgate is designed to provide young learners with fundamental knowledge and essential skills through:

  • progressive and collaborative learning;

These are all done in the nurturing environment of the school with dedicated and friendly teachers, and facilities designed for the children’s learning and enjoyment.

Junior High School

Students entering Junior High School are at their most critical stage – adolescence, a transition from being a child to being an adult. It’s when they strive for more independence, and so a critical time for them to be guided.

We are fully aware of the personal struggles of teens, and make sure it guides us to properly assist them and help them become happy and at the same time productive adults. At Southgate, we:

  • Help students boost their academic achievement in order to qualify for higher education or for a vocation;
  • Guide them in the development of desirable, ethical, moral and spiritual values;
  • Train them to think critically and broaden their scientific and technical knowledge,
  • preparation for lifelong learning;
  • Inculcate patriotism and nationalism in students and motivate them to be service-oriented individuals and have love of God.

Senior High School

  • The program will prepare graduates for employment entrepreneurship even without further education or training.
  • SHS Program shall meet the international standards for the leg of basic education.
  • Graduates will be better prepared for higher education.


ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management)

The ABM strand concentrates on the foundational concepts in corporate operations, financial management, and business management.

This leads a path to careers in accounting and management such as in sales management, human resources, marketing director, bookkeeper, project officer, accounting clerk, internal auditor, and many more.

GAS (General Academic Strand)

This strand is designed for students who would desire to engage in more general areas of study. It covers various disciplines like Humanities, Social Sciences, Organization, and Management.

This strand offers an option for students to take elective subjects from specialized subjects of any strands. If you take GAS, you are free to choose any college degree program under the three other strands based on the elective you will choose. The most usual college degree a GAS graduate takes is Education.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

This strand is designed for students who desire to pursue college degrees centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This strand provides preparation for students in using science, math, engineering and technology to solve real-life problems and advance national development.

As a STEM graduate, you can take collegiate degrees in the following fields:

  • Computing Sciences
  • Information technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Physics and other Sciences
  • Medicine

Under the strand, a student can become a pilot, an architect, an astrophysicist, a biologist, a chemist, an engineer, a dentist, a nutritionist, a nurse, a doctor – some of the highest paying jobs in the world.
